Shawl "Mkwa"

This reversible one size poncho is made from recycled fabric (50% recycled acrylic, 30% polyester, 20% recycled wool) and is perfect for fall. Definitely an essential you'll keep forever.

The Bear, or Mkwa in the Ojibwe language, is symbol of courage and balance. Nikki was drawn to include Bears in this design to show the reciprocal relationship to Mother Earth and to the animals. The Stars show our connection to the universe. The domes are the Haudenosaunee design that represents the Skyworld. The florals using Anishinaabe woodland designs, remind us of the beauty of nature.

The berries to honor the bears. The trees and forest are the original place of healing and wellness; in the forest we find our medicines, solitude, peace and balance.

Wash on delicate cycle in cold water, hang dry.

Made in Quebec, Canada.
